Brian C. Harlow is a founding partner at Giordano Spanier & Heckele Law Firm, where his practice focuses primarily on business and intellectual property transactions, and commercial litigation. Mr. Harlow’s professional experience as both in-house counsel to private and publicly traded companies, as a private-practice attorney, as well as an entrepreneur having formed a successful law firm, has afforded him significant, hands-on legal experiences advising businesses as well as individual clients across a wide range of business related matters.
Mr. Harlow has an established record of effectively negotiating business transactions on behalf of his clients and representing companies in all aspects of business, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property protection matters, as well as commercial litigation. Mr. Harlow assists companies of all types — including high-tech and clean-tech start-ups, retail manufacturers, real estate developers and construction contractors, — in navigating complex business issues such as strategic development; growth planning; capital infusion; licensing; supply; distribution; employee compensation and equity agreements; and joint venture and joint development agreements. Mr. Harlow’s intellectual property practice routinely includes protecting client trademark and copyright interest as well as patent interests through the drafting, negotiation and execution of nondisclosure and confidentiality agreements, licenses, development agreements as well as cross-license agreements to name a few. Additionally, as both a private practice attorney as well as in-house counsel, Mr. Harlow has initiated and managed to conclusion nationwide mortgage fraud cases and various other commercial litigation matters.
Mr. Harlow is a member of both the Pima County Bar Association and the Association of Corporate Counsel, and additionally serves on the board of directors for a non-profit start-up organization planning to bring a hands-on, interactive science center to Tucson, to be known as Tucson ScienceWorks.
